During my final-year project, I had the opportunity to work on environmental VFX. This work was a major challenge, as our game relied heavily on its atmosphere and visual mood. The visual effects therefore played a key role in enhancing immersion, supporting the art direction, and conveying the emotions we wanted players to feel.
To create these effects, I used various Unreal Engine tools and techniques, including shaders, Blueprints, and Niagara FX. This allowed me to design dynamic and interactive effects that enriched the game’s environment and reinforced its visual identity.
